HOW ARE SCARS FORMED?
Scars are the result of surgery related trauma, accident or disease. When the top layer of the skin is damaged, the reconstitution process is triggered and newly synthetised collagen fibres are gathered more densely than the collagen fibre in healthy skin. The scar is thus visibly thicker and red during formation.
HOW ARE SCARS TREATED?
LED photobiomodulation is used in the treatment of all scars: post-surgery or old scars. This technique accelerates and improves the scar formation process to reduce unsightly scars. It also has a remedial effect on burns, irritations and inflammation.
